Aqeel Rashid, Muneeb Abdullah identified on CC camera
Hyderabad Police’s reluctance to register case, hint of contacts with officials
New Delhi (Report: Mutiur Rehman Aziz) A suspicious incident of robbery and murder has come to light in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on August 14 at 8:45 pm, about which an attempt was made to register a complaint at the Banjara Hills Police Station. While filing the application, a thorough investigation of the matter was demanded, but till the time of writing this news, the matter had not been registered as an FIR in the police station. The owner of the bungalow, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh, had earlier registered a complaint with the police station against ten people and two people identified in her FIR copy. In the previous case, a complaint was also filed against Dr. Nowhera Sheikh’s family members forcibly entering other houses at gunpoint, but the city and administration of Aqeel alias Rashid and Muneeb alias Abdullah I have connections with people, due to whose pressure and influence, FIRs are not being registered against them and the suspects. The Hyderabad Police administration’s neglect of the culprits in this way can prove to be dangerous. According to close sources, Aqeel alias Rashid and Muneeb alias Abdullah were seen asking different people a week before August 15 whether Dr. Nowhera Sheikh was going to celebrate the Independence Day ceremony in which of their institutions. This statement makes the culprits, especially Aqeel alias Rashid and Muneeb alias Abdullah, very grateful. According to the text recorded in the FIR copy, the owner of the bungalow and house has written to the Hyderabad, Banjara Hills Police Station that an urgent complaint, FIR and investigation request regarding the robbery, aggression and conspiracy to murder at my residence. Dr. Nowhera Sheikh, MLA Colony, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, in writing to lodge a complaint regarding a serious security incident that occurred at my residence. I am currently on a trip, and I received a call from my security guard informing me about the incident. On Thursday evening, August 14, 2025, at around 7:44 PM, a group of people entered my residence illegally and without permission. Two unknown men approached my gate and falsely claimed to be from the Enforcement Directorate (ED). They told my security guard that they needed to inspect the house. The guard, believing their false claim, opened the door. Soon after the gate opened, a group of about 8 to 10 men, who were standing in concealed places nearby, entered the premises one by one without any valid warrant, permission, or identification. The group entered my private house and illegally recorded videos without permission, and were seen searching the entire house, including my personal room and living quarters. They stayed inside my house for about 15 minutes and then left the house. I must also mention that I have requested legal enforcement on such a matter on several occasions. The Directorate ED did not inform me of any visit through my registered email, WhatsApp, or phone, including the identity of the officers who came. Today, August 15, 2025, we do not have it. A confirmation letter has also been received by the Enforcement Directorate stating that they did not send anyone to my residence.
Dr. Nowhera Sheikh has written in her complaint that this proves that these persons were impersonating ED officials. Their actions show that the intruders entered my residence. The intention of the robbery, however, was to hijack the family members, who were seen backing away due to fear of CCTV surveillance and eventually left the house. At this stage, it is not possible to ascertain the full extent of their movements. Only a return to my residence can confirm whether any valuables are missing, whether they may have hidden any illegal material to falsely implicate me, whether any hidden devices have been installed that could compromise my privacy and security. All these possibilities cannot be ruled out and are a serious threat to my personal safety. I must also bring to your attention that I have already complained to your office about illegal housebreaking by goons who are receiving threats to my life, the current incident may be directly linked to the death threats. The manner in which the house and bungalow intruders entered my house. The large number and the illegal and unauthorized entry into the house under false identity creates a strong fear that this was not just an assault, but could also have led to an attempt to murder me or serious crimes.
