Registry of Heera Group properties, legal proceedings enter a new phase
New Delhi / Hyderabad (Report: Matiur Rehman Aziz) The ongoing legal proceedings related to Heera Group of Companies have entered a new phase. After continuous hearings in the Supreme Court of India in the past few days, the court has directed the Telangana Registrar to complete the process of registering 16 properties of Heera Group. After this order, the discussion in various circles has intensified regarding the future progress of the case, especially the bail of the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh, and the future of the company. During the hearing, the lawyer appearing for Heera Group took the position before the court that the sale or transfer of the company’s properties at a relatively low price in the current manner could seriously affect the financial and administrative foundations of the company. They said that if the fair and true market value of the properties is ignored, its effects will not only affect the company but also thousands of people whose capital or interest is associated with the company.
Earlier, the legal team of Hera Group had requested the court to verify the actual number of investors (clements) making claims and their claims, so that it can be clear how many people are really affected parties. The lawyers argued that without this verification, steps such as the sale or registry of the company’s assets may be premature. However, the court did not accept the request at this stage and continued the proceedings as per its prescribed legal procedure. Supporters of Hera Group say that there are still a large number of investors on the company’s platform who are standing with the company and are waiting for the protection and return of their investment. According to them, strict measures against the entire company’s assets based on a few complaints are not appropriate, but a final decision should be taken only after a complete examination of all the facts and claims.
On the other hand, legal experts say that the current orders of the Supreme Court are not a final decision on the merits of the case but are part of the ongoing legal proceedings. The case is still going through various legal stages and the court may issue more orders in the future. Supporters of the Heera Group are hoping that after Dr. Nowhera Sheikh gets bail, the company will be able to pursue its legal strategy more effectively. They believe that no final court decision has been issued against the company in the hearings held so far in which the company has been found guilty, so they expect positive developments in the future. However, the final decision in this regard will be taken by the court.
Meanwhile, the bail application of Nazanin alias Abida, the personal advisor and legal assistant of the CEO of the Heera Group, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh, has been rejected by the Hyderabad Sessions Court. Her legal team expressed disappointment over the court’s decision and said that they will challenge the order in the higher court. According to the lawyers, their client was only performing her professional duties in the company and the decision to deny her bail should be legally reconsidered. At present, all eyes are on the upcoming hearings of the Supreme Court. Legal experts, investors and people associated with the Heera Group are waiting to see what final orders the court issues in the future on various aspects of the case, the company’s assets, the interests of investors and other legal points.
