However, despite its ethereal essence, the region finds itself languishing among the ranks of underprivileged states, a consequence of global afflictions such as strife and inequity. Delving into the annals of history, one discerns that Jammu and Kashmir, centuries past, stood as a beacon of hospitality and fascination, drawing visitors from across the globe. Yet, a lamentable truth emerges as leaders entrusted with governance in India failed to discharge their duties towards this resplendent land, despite its innate grandeur. One cannot help but ponder upon the missed opportunities and untapped potential of Jammu and Kashmir. Had it received the requisite attention and investment, one could envision our nation attaining the esteemed status of developed nations long ago, ushering in an era of prosperity and progress for all its inhabitants.
The distinguished All India President of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party, Aalima Dr. Nowhera Shaikh, expressed with heartfelt sincerity that for a considerable duration, our esteemed Kashmiri brethren and sisters had extended invitations for my visit to their sacred land. However, it is by the decree of fate that we find ourselves gracing this revered region today, in the presence of all of you. In extending my earnest wishes to the resilient people of Jammu and Kashmir, I aspire for the consolidation and augmentation of our party’s influence and presence within this noble territory. Our aspiration lies not merely in providing the basic amenities that are currently lacking, but in striving to furnish the populace with an array of facilities that are essential for their well-being and progress. May our collective endeavors serve to uplift and empower every individual residing within the bosom of Jammu and Kashmir, fostering an environment of inclusivity, prosperity, and harmonious coexistence. Presently, our esteemed colleague, Mr. Prof. Muhammad Najeeb, embarked on a visit to the scenic expanse of Dal Lake, wherein a startling revelation unfolded before him. It came to light that approximately 80,000 individuals have forged their existence amidst the tranquil waters of Dal Lake, yet their livelihoods are mired in the shadows of governmental neglect. In this idyllic setting, marred by the absence of basic amenities, the inhabitants endure the hardships of life amidst squalor and destitution. Devoid of essential provisions such as electricity, potable water, and adequate transportation, the residents of Dal Lakes find themselves grappling with the myriad challenges of subsistence. Tragically, the lack of proper sanitation infrastructure has transformed the once pristine waters into receptacles of refuse, a poignant testament to years of accumulated neglect. The plight of these individuals, ensnared in the throes of adversity, underscores the urgent need for concerted action and intervention. It is imperative that we address the systemic deficiencies and embark upon comprehensive initiatives to restore dignity and vitality to this cherished natural treasure. Only through collective resolve and compassionate stewardship can we endeavor to reclaim the splendor and sanctity of Dal Lake, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for all its denizens.
In her empathetic remarks, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh highlighted the potential of Jammu Kashmir as a thriving hub for tourism, emphasizing the need for attentive care. She envisioned a scenario where the youth of the region could find ample employment opportunities within their homeland by prioritizing tourism development. Working President Professor MA Najeeb graciously acknowledged the leadership of Dr. Sheikh and extended appreciation to the media attendees, encouraging their ongoing support for the party’s endeavors.
