"Our tricolour flag conveys the message of our sacrifice and unity.”

"Speech by Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh on the occasion of Independence Day”

New Delhi (News Release: Mutiur Rahman Aziz) On the auspicious occasion of India’s Independence Day, Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh, a visionary leader associated with numerous organizations, the CEO of Heera Group of Companies, an eminent educator, and the National President of All India Mahila Empowerment Party, hoisted the national flag at the Heera Group’s headquarters in Hyderabad and saluted it with pride. In her address to the nation, Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh extended heartfelt congratulations to all fellow citizens on this momentous day of independence. She emphasized that our national festival serves as a reminder of our unity and the spirit of sacrifice that binds us together in a single thread. She eloquently expressed that these celebrations rekindle our commitment to the idea that every individual who has nurtured himself from the soil of this country is part of our larger family. The national festival instills in us a profound sense of responsibility to preserve the fabric of unity that defines our identity on the world stage. Dr. Nowhera Shaikh urged everyone to protect this bond of unity, ensuring that our unique identity remains intact, both within our country and across the globe. In many parts of the world, divisions based on race, such as between black and white, or on ethnicity, like Arab and non-Arab, or even between urban and rural communities, create deep-rooted separations among people, driving them apart into distinct and often opposing groups. These differences can lead to fragmentation within societies, where individuals are often judged or marginalized based on such superficial distinctions. However, the celebration of our Independence Day stands as a powerful symbol that transcends these divides. It is a time when we come together as one nation, united in our shared identity and collective pride. This national festival offers us the unique opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with all our compatriots, regardless of background or status, and to present ourselves to the world as a united and resilient people. In this spirit of unity and solidarity, we pray that Allah, the Lord of all worlds, safeguards our nation from all harmful forces and those who seek to sow discord and hatred. May our country be blessed with continued progress, prosperity, and success, and may its destiny be one of greatness, guided by the principles of justice, peace, and harmony. Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh, in her address, reflected on the pages of history, reminding us of the profound sacrifices made for our nation’s freedom. She noted that the true depth of patriotism felt by the martyrs and freedom fighters of our country is beyond our comprehension. History bears witness to the fact that when British officers travelled from Delhi to Meerut, not a single tree on that route was spared from bearing the bodies of our fallen heroes who were hanged as a symbol of resistance and defiance. Dr. Nowhera Shaikh emphasized that while we may never fully grasp the intensity of the spirit that drove these sacrifices, it is imperative for us to carry within us the same sense of patriotism. We must remain ever mindful that if the country ever calls upon us to shed our blood for its honor, dignity, and glory, we will not hesitate to lay down our lives. This unyielding commitment to our nation’s sovereignty and pride must be the guiding force in our lives, ensuring that the legacy of our forefathers’ sacrifices continues to inspire and protect our beloved country. Our nation is a cradle of the Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, a unique blend of cultures and traditions where people from all races, religions, sects, and communities coexist in harmony, like sugar dissolved in milk. This cradle of unity is a precious treasure, and it should be our constant effort and prayer that it remains untouched by any evil eye. We must remain ever vigilant and proactive in our endeavours to propel our nation to the highest levels of progress. By doing so, we ensure that our country can stand proudly alongside other nations of the world, showcasing the strength of our unity and the richness of our diverse heritage. Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh remarked that every year on the 15th of August, Independence Day celebrations are organized across the nation. However, she expressed deep concern that in recent times, the democratic values and the social and political fabric of India have suffered significant damage, leading the country towards the perilous path of hatred and division. She lamented that we have failed to honor and remember the contributions of our forefathers and our own responsibilities in this regard as we should have.  Dr. Nowhera Shaikh emphasized that it is not just a hope but a firm belief that we will engage in constructive discussions in our gatherings, recalling the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and forefathers in a positive light.  Continuing her address, Dr. Nowhera Shaikh pointed out that while we are celebrating the anniversary of our independence today, it is also a moment of introspection. She urged that we should not merely celebrate Independence Day but also demand our rightful place in the system of the country, ensuring our active participation. As citizens, it is our collective responsibility to reclaim our rights and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress. It is absolutely clear that we have always been at the forefront of India’s freedom struggle. Our forefathers played a vital and active role in the fight for independence. There should be no hesitation in proudly asserting this truth. Moreover, it is our duty to educate the younger generation about the importance of freedom of thought, justice, equality, and public peace. By instilling these values, we ensure that they understand and cherish the hard-won freedoms that our ancestors fought for, and are prepared to uphold them in the future. In her concluding remarks, Aalimah Dr. Nowhera Shaikh strongly emphasized the troubling impact that certain hate-driven leaders are having on the harmony and social fabric of our nation. She openly expressed concern that these so-called leaders, through their cunning and manipulative tactics, have sown seeds of anger and resentment among the people by delivering emotionally charged speeches. She pointed out that every educated and aware individual understands that these divisive actions are merely a desperate attempt by these individuals to preserve their own relevance. However, the common people often fail to see through their deceit. Given this situation, Dr. Nowhera Shaikh stressed that it is now our increased responsibility to expose these hate-mongers to the citizens of our country. By doing so, we can ensure that our nation remains rooted in brotherhood and continues to progress on the path of development.
