Bandla Ganesh’s fraudulent attempt fails in Banjara Hills SRO
New Delhi, (News Report: Matiur Rehman Aziz) – In a significant development upholding the rule of law, Heera Group of Companies CEO Dr. Nowhera Sheikh has successfully stopped the illegal registration of his Film Nagar property in favour of Tollywood actor and producer Bandla Ganesh. The attempt at the Sub-Registrar Office (SRO), Banjara Hills failed after Dr. Nowhera Sheikh raised strong objections citing violations of Supreme Court orders and PMLA procedures. Officials confirmed that no registration took place following legal objections raised by Dr. Nowhera Sheikh during the sale deed process scheduled for October 24, 2025. He was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to comply with a Supreme Court order, but upon reaching there, he found that the ED officers were proceeding without following the mandatory legal process of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
While filing her statement at the Registrar’s Office, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh said, "I came to the SRO today only to comply with the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, but the ED officers did not complete the legal procedure of the PMLA. The Supreme Court had clearly said that the registration should be as per the PMLA law. There is neither a certificate of seizure, nor a final judgment, nor is there any legal justification for the registration of this property. Although she said, ‘Dr. Nowhera Sheikh, you are disobeying the order of the Supreme Court, to which Dr. Nowhera Sheikh clearly said: ‘No, I am complying with the order of the Supreme Court. I am here only because of this order, but you are not following the PMLA law. Registration without seizure is illegal. ‘” Legal experts are publicly appreciating Dr. Nowhera Sheikh’s peaceful but firm explanation, which shows that she acted completely within the ambit of the law, while the ED officers failed to fullfil the statutory conditions laid down. Observers stress that no attached property under sections 5(1), 8(6) and 8(7) of the PMLA can be transferred, sold or registered unless the trial is concluded, the accused is convicted and the adjudicating authority passes the final attachment order. Since none of these steps were completed, Dr. Nowhera Sheikh’s refusal to sign was legally permissible.
The disputed property — GHMC No. 8-2-293/82/FIL/A/15, Film Nagar, Hakimpet village, Sheikhpet mandal — is under judicial attachment in cases pending before the Supreme Court, Telangana High Court and the PMLA Adjudicating Authority. The attempts to auction the property for just Rs. 19 crore as against the market value of Rs. 75 crore raise serious concerns including underpricing and collusion. Records show that Bandla Ganesh has been occupying the property illegally since 2022. Despite the expiry of his tenancy, he is refusing to vacate, is not paying rent and is claiming the house as his by posting misleading videos on social media. The eviction proceedings (OS No. 782/2024) and several complaints are still pending.
The authorities have taken cognizance, following a written objection by Dr. Nowhera Sheikh and police complaints, copies of which have been sent to the following, including: • Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, • Director, Enforcement Directorate (Headquarters, New Delhi), • Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, A senior police source at Banjara Hills station confirmed that the matter is under active investigation. “We are verifying the facts, court orders and alleged misuse of the registration process,” an officer said. “The property is clearly still in the jurisdiction of the court.” Prominent lawyers from across Hyderabad described Dr. Nowhera Sheikh’s stand as an exemplary model of legal resistance. “She complied with the Supreme Court order perfectly — appeared on time, respected the law and stood firm in the face of illegal procedures,” said Advocate R. Iyer. “This case proves that no one, no matter how powerful the name, can ignore judicial authority.” Dr. Nowhera Sheikh concluded by saying, “I came in deference to the Supreme Court. I did not disobey it — I upheld it. But the ED did not abide by the PMLA law. Registration without seizure is illegal. Truth, law and Allah’s justice will always stand by the truth.
