New Delhi, In a significant move to strengthen and expand its global presence, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with ICA Education Pvt. Ltd. (ICAEPL) based in Nepal. The MoA was signed on February 5th, 2024, by the Registrar (Admn.) of IGNOU and Mr. Biswajit Mukherjee, Managing Director of I.C.A. Education Pvt. Ltd. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Pro-Vice Chancellors, and other esteemed officers of the University. Under this strategic collaboration, IGNOU is set to broaden its reach by offering online programmes for international students. Presently, the University provides access to 44 online programmes across various disciplines for students around the globe. In addition to the introduction of online programmes, IGNOU has unveiled the "Overseas Facilitator” scheme to enhance its global outreach. The University has already signed Memorandum of Agreement with 14 existing Overseas Study Centres, laying the foundation for promoting IGNOU’s online programmes on an international scale. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nageshwar Rao, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration and highlighted IGNOU’s commitment to provide quality education to students worldwide. He stated, "This partnership with ICA Education Pvt. Ltd. marks a crucial step towards making IGNOU’s diverse range of programmes accessible to a global audience. We are dedicated to fostering international collaborations that contribute to the academic growth and success of students everywhere.” As IGNOU continues to innovate and adapt to the changing landscape of education, this collaboration with ICA Education Pvt.
