Nowhera Shaik to Contest Lok Sabha Elections Amidst Local Conspiracy
Women’s Empowerment Champion Dr. Nowhera Shaik Faces baseless complaints Ahead of Lok Sabha
Hyderabad, 23 Feb: Dr. Nowhera Shaik, the chairperson of Heera Group and the founder and president of All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) has declared her firm resolve to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad despite facing a series of challenges. Since she announced to contest elections from Hyderabad, Dr. Shaik has found herself embroiled in a series of controversies, including FIRs lodged against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). However, she vehemently denies any wrongdoing and asserts that these allegations are baseless and illegal, constituting a violation of both the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Telangana. Dr. Shaik points out that the Supreme Court had issued a order to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) to oversee the matter, not the ED, in its order dated March 16, 2020 with reference to IA No. 15741/2020 EX-PARTE STAY IN W.P. (Crl.) No. 31/2020 .
Dr. Shaik, who launched AIMEP in 2017 with the aim of empowering women and minorities, says that she has a vision to transform Hyderabad into a modern, progressive, and inclusive city, where everyone has equal opportunities and rights. She says that she has always worked for the welfare and upliftment of the people, especially the poor, the women, and the minorities. She says that her businesses, which deal in gold, education, textiles, and more, are legitimate and transparent, and that she has never cheated or defrauded anyone. Dr. Shaik, who has been facing a series of troubles and political attacks, has appealed to the authorities to uphold the order of the Supreme Court, which had granted her an interim stay and referred the matter to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) However, Dr. Shaik claims that ever since she declared to contest Lok Sabha Elections, she has been subjected to a local conspiracy orchestrated by her rivals, especially Owaisi, who she says is afraid of losing his bastion to a woman leader. She alleges that the Enforcement Directorate (ED), which has filed multiple FIRs against her and her companies, is acting in violation of the Supreme Court’s order, which had entrusted the SFIO to investigate the case. She also accuses the local police in Hyderabad of being biased and influenced by Owaisi, who she says is supporting the registration of an allegedly illegal FIR, No. 140 of 2024, dated February 16, 2024, at the Film Nagar Police Station. This FIR, she contends, is an attempt to benefit certain individuals and constitutes a violation of the Supreme Court’s directives. Dr. Shaik firmly believes that such actions are politically motivated and aimed at unjustly seizing her property. In light of these troubling circumstances, Dr. Nowhera Shaik implores the authorities to intervene and ensure strict adherence to the Supreme Court’s orders. She urges directives to be issued to the ED and state police, emphasizing the gravity of any interference by other agencies and the potential contempt proceedings that may ensue. Expressing trust in the fairness and integrity of the investigative process, Dr. Shaik appeals for guidance and clarification on the implications and procedures associated with the Supreme Court’s order. She awaits favorable action from the authorities, hopeful for a just resolution to this ongoing legal battle. Dr. Shaik, who has a large following among the women and the Muslim community, says that she is confident of winning the support and trust of the people of Hyderabad. She says that she is not deterred by the conspiracies and the obstacles that are being thrown at her. She says that she is ready to face any challenge and fight for justice and democracy. “No matter the conspiracies they may concoct, I remain steadfast in my resolve to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Hyderabad,” she declares. “My candidacy is not just about political aspirations; it’s about upholding the principles of fairness, integrity, and justice for all of humanity.”
